Message from the Chief

To the residents of the Lisle-Woodridge Fire Protection District,

On behalf of the Board of Trustees, the Board of Fire Commissioners, and the men and women of the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District, I would like to thank you for taking the time to visit our website and learn more about the services the Fire District provides.  The Lisle-Woodridge Fire District's primary mission is to provide a variety of services designed to protect the lives and property of those people within the District from the adverse effects of fires, sudden medical emergencies, or the exposure to dangerous conditions caused by man or nature.

To meet this mission, the Fire District employs some of the country's highly skilled and trained firefighters/paramedics. Each is committed to protecting our community while continually identifying ways to improve the delivery of emergency services. Since 1993, the Fire District has maintained an Insurance Services Office (ISO) Class 1 rating. In 2019, the Fire District earned Accredited Agency status from the Commission on Fire Accreditation International (CFAI). Accredited agencies are often described as being community-focused, data-driven, outcome-focused, strategic-minded, well organized, properly equipped, and properly staffed and trained. We continue to make the Lisle-Woodridge Fire District a better and safer place to live, work and recreate during an ever-changing social, economic, and political environment.

Before leaving our website, take some time to learn about the many services and programs we provide. We are incredibly proud of our Performance Dashboard that highlights District operations and performance levels compared to industry best practices. Our biggest responsibility is to educate our residents about fire and life safety.  Through education and enforcement, we can prevent the tragic effects of fires and sudden emergency medical emergencies. Please do not hesitate to request our assistance in providing educational opportunities for your family or community group. We enjoy the opportunity to meet the people we serve.

Thank you for the privilege of serving such a great community. I would also like to encourage you to follow us on Twitter @lwfdnews and like our Facebook page for up-to-date news and information about District activities.
